Ver'mith ships engaging C.H.I.L.D.A.'s vessels.
C.H.I.L.D.A. (チルダ Chiruda, pronounced "cheelda") is an extreme planetary scale defense force, possessing significantly more advanced technology than what is available on Earth.
In the past, fighting the Ver'mith was not their top priority.
In fact, C.H.I.L.D.A. was initially formed as a planetary military alliance entrusted with keeping the peace amongst interstellar organizations, and to prevent the outbreak of war.
Each member of the alliance was designated as a military unit capable of responding to and fighting jointly against any threat within the star system.
Due to ongoing feuds amongst the inner circles of C.H.I.L.D.A., as well as the uncertainty of the Ver'mith's origins, there was no unanimous decision amongst they would work on how to deal with the situation.
Initially, the Triggerheart units were developed by C.H.I.L.D.A.'s Central Development Team #7.

- Of the units still in the database, there are some that were developed by different teams using the original blueprints as reference.
- Crueltear and Exelica were both created by Development Team #7, and thus share a direct linkage (a bond similar to that between blood relatives).
- A translation error in Warashi's english site named C.H.I.L.D.A. as "Tilde Fleet".
- According to Kazuhiko Kakoi, the meaning of C.H.I.L.D.A.'s acronym wasn't specified during the development of Triggerheart Exelica, however he has plans to give the acronym a meaning one of this days.
